irreverent hilarity

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The sheer good humour of the cast bubbles through in this series. Old traditions are thankfully swept away cameramens mistakes, "corpsing" all add to make this series" a laugh along". Slightly irreverent at times and touching on previously considered dodgy subjects Mrs Brown never sinks to the crude or the lavatorial cheap laugh but reminds us of what we say and do in our own front rooms. The sheer joy of the cast and the audience at the rousing finale of the recent show as they danced and sand the tribute to the old priest was feel good TV. A breath of fresh air on our screens.

This has to be,without doubt, the funniest show i have seen in a long time, its about time we had something for our money. Agnes Brown (Mammy) is hilarious I have never laughed as much, makes Shamelss look like Emmerdale Be prepared for plenty of laughs

Amazing and laugh out loud!

Thinking this would be just another run of the mill sit com, I was deliriously surprised with Mrs Browns boys. The plot centres around Agnes Brown and her family and the mishaps they incur on a day to day basis. Aside from a few mild swear words this is good clean fun and something I enjoy with my teenage children.Worth a couple of hours of anyones time.

. The plot gets lost in the mix. It's hard to care about anything going on, because the storyline's little more than an excuse for Mrs Brown to do her thing. There are certainly some funny moments and good old fashioned gags, . I laughed out loud once or twice and then thought why am I the only one, to find hubby had fell asleep. I then decided I was quite enjoying it and carried on watching Probably because Agnes Brown is rather like my own dear Irish "Catlick" mother - but without the swearing. There is far too much swearing in the programme. It would be much better with just half the swearing.'ll certainly stick with it for the rest of the series. It really was taking the mickey out of crap sitcoms. I don’t think it is worth 10/10 and will watch if nothing else better on.

This is an excellent series, it has similarities with the comedy series Bread which featured the Boswell family only this is funnier, it contains some fairly strong language so not for young kids, although it is not vulgar, for instance Mrs Brown who is a male by the way says feck a lot but this is not considered a swear word in Ireland bit similar to saying frick in England. Mrs Browns gender does not seem to matter, you just accept him as a female without really noticing, it is about a family living in Dublin where they all have issues of one kind or another and Mrs Brown is hilarious in sorting things out.I would say it is the funniest show on TV.

Humour ffor all - ok - dont watch if you are offended by bad language - just typically Irish. They have taken this from theatre and put on TV in same format - no changes - no editing - thats one of the most funniest - something goes wrong - they just either redo it or adlib - making it even funnier. An eclectic family group where Mrs Brown is the atypical matriach - looking after the grandad as well as having an open door to family and friends Looking forward to many many series
