A good collection of sci-fi movies, enjoyable and well made. Obviously a strange decision to make them in the order they did, as the effects on the prequels are much better than the original movies. This however does not effect the quality over all.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga is a neat little package with the films on Blu-ray. They are all I wanted.

Pointless reviewing the films, because if you've never seen them before, where you been for the last 35 years? I was 5 years old when Episode 4 was originally released & so no other film has probably had such an impact on my life as those in this saga. Yes, there are dodgy moments & characters such as the ewoks, Jar Jar, and too much focus on the love story in episode 2 for my liking. But even still, some of these things will appeal to some people and this is why Star Wars is "the greatest story ever told" as far as I'm concerned. I've seen them all at the cinema and on TV, most on VHS video though, and when I made the leap to DVD I was impressed by the things I hadn't seen or heard before because of the improved format. Now they are on Blu-ray I am expecting a similar experience. I have never sat and watched all 6 back to back before, so I think now is the time! (Just hope Disney don't ruin the franchise now!)

What can I say... it's a complete set of Star Wars Blu-rays! I bought this for my partner's 50th birthday and he loves it. Thank you zavvi.

The films look great, but I do have one major criticism for them: there is no clean-up of the effects shots for the original trilogy, as sometimes ships appear to have a lighter black box around them. To my mind the sound has improved more than the visuals, being much clearer and crisper. Having said that the visuals are excellent, with no grain or white spots to be seen, though naturally Episode III looks the best. The extras I've found slight disappointing, especially the prequel trilogy's extended scenes, as they have made no attempt to properly render them as if they were properly finished, being instead presented at whatever level they were left at during production. All the changes, aside from R2D2's rock hiding-place in ANH, I did not find to be annoying in any way, but rather enhanced the films. Overall I'd give this 4 stars out of 5 because of these niggles.

Purchased for my teenage son and he tells me that the quality of picture is excellent (He has viewed some of them already on his PS3.) A Good purchase for any keen Star Wars fan.

Star Wars: The Complete Saga is excellent. The picture and sound quality are fantastic, and I think it's one of the best movies ever.

If your a star wars fan, this is a must. Fast delivery and cheapest on line.
