"Isadora" is always badly butchered if it's ever shown on TV, and it's very rarely issued commercially. This first DVD version has lots of extras, but it's missing something - almost half an hour of the film. There's never been the full movie released since 1966 but previous versions have usually been the director's cut. This isn't even that, it's the much shorter version once released as "The Loves Of Isadora". Do you buy it or not? It's a butchered version, but it's the only version available. Vanessa Redgrave is wonderful as the free-spirited, uninhibited dancer, so it's worth watching as long as those missing 30 minutes don't prey on your mind.
