When Alfred Hitchcock made films it was purely to scare audiences as this is what gave him the most pleasure. With Psychoville we are all invited to share this joke, and boy is there a lot to laugh about. Psychoville follows the lives of several people who are linked by something mysterious in their past, this is hinted at with the arrival of letters by an anonymous assailant stating simply "i know what you did" what follows is not only chilling, by frighteningly delightful. it is important to note that this series is not only essential viewing for its story but its wonderful cast including the ever wonderful "Dawn French" and of course "Reece Shearsmith" and "Steve Pemberton". with the presence of half of the league of gentleman it would be easy to dismiss this as merely a poor man's version of "Royston Vasey" but this series has so much more. There are scenes of such innovative genius that it cannot be dismissed as a mere extension of the original more of a furthering of the foundations that it laid down. Please buy this scene and question whether to laugh or cry when Freddy comes to life, marvel at the delicate and wonderfully tense homage to Hitchcock's "Rope" but most of all, wonder why it has taken so long for Psychoville to come into your life.

If you liked the League Of Gentlemen then this is done by the same people, great characterisation and storylines! It'll have you in stitches! Nice box set too including the Christmas special

Great series, poor box set. Not really a box set just the 2 blue rays in a cardboard box, ookay technically a box set but minimum effort for the packaging

Great series at a great price for blu-ray. Definitely recommended for any fans of The League of Gentlemen.
