Need For Speed The Run is a great racing game, but it's an arcade one. This is one of the better NFS games though.

Need For Speed The Run is a very different racing experience. It's great.

Game is good, unlike other Need For Speed games as it lacks a Free roam feature, although the racing makes up for it.

I've been enjoying NFS games since the first one (Pentium 100 times). Sure there were quite some bad games in the series, but The Run is not among them. First of all, it looks great - thanks to Frostbite engine which powers Battlefield 3 and Medal of Honor: Warfighter, for example. Secondly, there is a "story" called "The Run" which is quite interesting - you try to beat 250 other racers by participating in different activities (gaining places, battles, checkpoint races etc.). There are also story races where you, for example, try to loose the mob. All in all - it's really fast paced and enjoyable. Scripted moments sometimes impress. Thirdly, I like the handling. It's not as easy as in Hot Pursuit and not real, of course (not Forza for sure), but it works well with the game. Fourthly, there are many different locations (you are going through the States), so you won't get tired by looking at the same scenery. There are other strong points too. I like the fact that difficulty affects the number of checkpoints, so some races are quite challenging if you select a hard difficulty. As for some drawbacks - there aren't many. I personally got a bit tired of similar races. And I would love to drive more cars (usually no point in changing these - I used only 3 during the story and beat everyone easily). There are more things to mention, but these are really minor. All in all it's a great game. Highly recommended.

What can I say? Need for Speed The Run is an amazing game. I'd recommend this to anyone who loves their driving games.

The Need For Speed The Run game is pretty awesome, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm female and this game really had me glued to the Xbox. Good game.

Need For Speed The Run is a good game - very linear story mode, but this opens up the challenges. I love it, the kids love it.

I didn't expect too much from Need For Speed The Run, but it surprised me in a good way. It's very enjoyable and hard to play "only half an hour". I miss the car customisation (in depth) but altogether.
