This was purchased for my 7 year old grandaughter, so grandad, nana and grandaughter settled down to watch this. We were really impressed with the 3D effects and we rate it as the best 3D film we own for the depth and vibrant colours that this film offers. All our 3D films have really good 3D effects, but Rio is better! I'm sure you all know the gist of the story about blu the young parrot who has to find his way back to the jungle to save his species from dying out,so i won't bore you all with my version, so suffice to say that it was a lot more enjoyable to watch than anticipated, and we were all dancing along with the infectious samba beat albeit still seated, but you know what i mean when your top half of your body is moving to the beat without you realising. My grandaughter was absolutely thrilled and engrossed, which is saying something as she is easily bored and quick to lose interest in watching a film to the end. I would say that this film will get plenty of use, as my grandaughter and younger grandson will spend their leisure time watching it again and again. This film comes highly recommended from this household as it has a real feel good factor about it and leaves everybody in a good mood!

I bought this for the family as a treat. A very colourful cover which matches the animation throughout the whole film. A very good storyline with a great soundtrack. My feet were tapping throughout the movie. The 3d effects in this movie are also great, whether it be the birds beaks or wings coming out of the screen or the perspective that you too are flying along with them, this movie had myself, my wife and the children riveted. Definitely one to watch.
