There are lots of different flavours or RPG, but you can pretty much separate them into 4 distinct types. Firstly there's your JRPGs, Final Fantasy et al, they are almost literally in a world of their own. Then there's your western open world epics and Elder Scrolls etc. You have the dungeon crawlers, e.g. Diablo, Torchlight and finally there is the action RPGs such as God of War, Castlevania and Dante's Inferno Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning is a highly successful mix of the latter 3, it has a huge open world to explore, various quest paths are opened up at once and there is total freedom of movement and action. Finally the combat is as good and as exciting as anything the action games can throw at you, several different weapon types of which 2 can be equipped at once, combos and special moves, parrying and blocking being essential, button mashing will get you through only the very easy low level fights. All in all its a lot of fun and there's a hell of a lot of game in there to play.

Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning is worth the buy. It's Zelda meets Fable, with hints of Dragon Age Origins. Its Absolutely awesome. If you like any of those games then this is the RPG for you.

Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning is a great game, with a very Fable-like graphical look. It has a great story and slick controls. Zavvi had quick delivery, and I'm very happy.

Kingdoms of Amalur arrived right in the midst of the hype, of the monster hit Skyrim, and as such, most RPG fans would have skipped or even missed it altogether. Well let me put you in the picture and tell you about the game that has to be in your collection, now. Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning is a great, fantasy RPG, with an amazing 450 hours gameplay boasted from the developers, that supposedly can be pushed from this title. It has an amazing full loot table that is constantly keeping you interested in all your kills, put that along with probably one of the most comfortable, easy and action filled attack system makes just make this one of the most enjoyable and fun RPGs out there. The story itself can get buried in the sheer volume of quests constantly being thrown at you, but don't let that put you off as all the quests are good enough to keep you interested right to the end. The three main classes of warrior, wizard and rogue making it a great diverse game, and a very extensive spell tree for your levelling just make this an RPG fans must have title. Also, Zavvi's great prices give you another reason to add this to your collection.

Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning is an absolutely stunning RPG - it has fantastic graphics and is easy to play. It's a must-have at Zavvi's fantastic prices!

Colourful, addictive and fun RPG. The combat's some of the best I've played in years on an RPG. It incorporates a lot of features from RPG's you will have played before but manages to blend them into a really enjoyable experience. Definitely worth it.

Kingdoms Of Amalur: Reckoning is a very good game, and the delivery service was excellent.

KOA : Reckoning is a really good surprise for me. This game offers 100h of great gameplay. Graphics are really good (not realistic, it's more cartoon), lightning effects are great. The most important thing is that combat are really good, that's quite rare in an RPG game. If you liked games like Divinity 2, just buy this one! The scenario is quite classic (also the quests) but gameplay is so good that you will play for hours!

The areas are not as big as Skyrim, but there are tons of quests, a great visual style, a great story by Salvatore. The destiny system is genius and the action elements (the combat) are very well integrated!

Excellent game. Best Xbox 360 game out at the moment.
