Ace Combat 3D is a great addition to the series and the 3DS-library, as it brings the intense dogfights to the handheld. It also uses the 3D-effect to its full advantage and offers variation in the missions. It's a shame it's quite short, though. But Ace Combat 3D is drive in rocket ship speeding straight into the stratosphere Which do you prefer? ;) Great game all round while it fails in multiplayer area it makes up for it. In thrilling dogfights in palm of your hand. This game easily has over 20 hours of gameplay and even after beating the story, there's more missions to complete and dozens of aircraft to unlock. Should you buy this? If you appreciate Dog-fighting games, don't hesitate to purchase this game. Even if you don't have a strong liking to Dog-fighting games, I encourage trying this game.

Ace Combat 3D has tons of re-playability, due to the number of aircraft there are to unlock. Also, you can partake in free, extra missions. There is also leveling up of your profile to make it more interesting. It is very arcade-ish, making it appealing to most players, so those that are searching for a simulator may give this a miss. The battles are quite frantic and challenging on higher difficulty, as you need to be ready to dodge enemy missiles and attack at the same time. The game features QTEs (quick time events) and you need to trigger them to dodge or attack. These are beautifully executed as well. The jets and planes are fully customisable regarding parts and colour. Also, there are a ton of them and I still haven't unlocked them all on my 3rd play-through of the single player missions. This is a solid title and I recommend to anyone who wants a bit of dog fighting action, even if you're not into aviation, the action really is good. I rate this 5/5 as I have found it really enjoyable.

Great game, good use of 3d. , but no multiplayer is a big oversight.
