Soul Calibur V is an immediate entry into a fascinating and graphically elegant gaming world. The overall plot and gameplay is excellent.

Soul Calibur V was a bit disappointing since there is basically no difference between it and Soul Calibur II on my XBOX. There were some new pieces in the character creator, but it is merely cosmetic - the character you choose to build your own creation from will have the same moves and so on as the original, so that feature is obsolete. I await the new Tekken, instead of playing this game. Buy it if you don't have any previous versions.

This is probably the best Soul Calibur of the saga.

I have always been a fan of the Soul Calibur series and this has not failed to satisfy. There are loads of new characters as well as many of the originals. The game play is much the same as previous versions but now has 3D for an added dimension, though haven't tried this yet. A lot of the trophies are geared towards online playing which doesn't interest me. The characters are graded by difficulty and the harder ones are near impossible to beat so I recommend using a character who has a good reach and stay a safe distance from your opponent. If you don't have previous versions then this is well worth getting!!

Soul Calibur V is perfect!!!

Soul Calibur V is a great fighting game, the combat system is faster than Soul Calibur 4, even the playability is better. Graphics are great an animations are smooth. at last but not least the editor: you can do pretty much everything with it and it's very funny playing online to see other people creations!

I remember playing Soul Calibur on the SEGA dreamcast and I really loved it. That's why I was so excited when they released this latest installment on the PS3. Boy I wasn't disappointed. There's a great character selection, easily enough options, and online play, which makes this game good value. There's enough here to pick up and play, or for you to learn combos and critical attacks. Best beat-them-up out there in my opinion.

There's nothing more to say about Soul Calibur V. It is maybe the best fighting game since Tekken 6! Maybe even better. I strongly recommend it even for fighting-games-newbies. This game has something for everyone.

Soul Calibur V is a great game, and a lot of fun to play with friends. The single-player game-play is equally as good, but that addition of a friend adds a whole new, fun, competitive factor to it. I highly recommend it.

I must be playing a different soul caliber to the rest of these guys as I found SC5 to be easily the worst of the soul caliber franchise half of the characters are sophitia/edgemaster clones a lot of the best characters have been taken out taki/sung mina/yunsoung and replaced with viola an horrificly unbalanced character who can hit you from the front and back at the same time and second newcomers zwie and ezio. who is probably this games only saving grace. you allso have the usual knightmare sigfried and new taki wannabie natsu who is laughably fast and can teleport all over the place at stupidly impossible speeds. all I can say is avoid this game and go play SC 3 or 2 or 1 in fact any SC other than this one this one is a cheap lazy unbalanced knock off.
