Left wanting more

X-Men: Destiny is a good action and bash game. You find yourself playing a mutant when his powers just started to manifest themselves. You unlock your abilities through a tree in which you choose this power over this one and then upgrading them with the XP you collect. The problem for me, is the rhythm. Too many cut scenes and not enough action. Once you start to fight, either you get a cut scene, either you run out of bad guys. Not a bad game, it just lacks the rhythm of a game like X-Men Origins : Wolverine.

Best comic game ever

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

X-Men: Destiny is the greatest comic book videogame of all time. This is an adult X-Men story that is well told, packs some truly fun gameplay elements, has top notch voice talent, and feels like it's part of X-Men canon. If I have to nitpick, I wish the cutscenes looked better as they can distract from the tale and that the AI were a bit more responsive, but those are tiny flaws that shouldn't detract from the big picture. Silicon Knights nailed what X-Men is supposed to feel like. Fans, rejoice.
