Overall, the game is great. There are glaring shortcomings and initially it felt almost unfinished, but they have been making improvements with patches. They have yet to fix any of the major problems though. The fact that you can virtually pilot such a wide variety of real cars that otherwise you would never experience on real world tracks that you might never see makes it special. The car selection makes for great replay value as theres always one that you haven't driven. But given the glaring issues, I could not give it 5/5. Still a game every car fan should own.

This is not a game...this is (almost) real life!! If you're looking for an arcade racer GT5 is NOT for you (pick Need for Speed or similar). GT5 is the most realistic racing simulation I've ever seen. You start with a tiny car and work your way up into the 'big leagues'. On your way you'll learn all the technique that you'll need to succeed on the highest level. Going through this process is just awesome, great experience!!!! BTW: I also love to play Need for Speed...

A perfect drive simulation, hundred of real cars and a good online experience. Excelent!

Good game, like all GT series. GT mode menu simple and innovative new B-spec mode where the user is in the box to give instructions to the pilot team. It could be better in terms of number of cars in each of the brands. Good overall.

This game could be a masterpiece, it passes from near photorealism to ps2 like graphics. The driving is great and every car has its own weight and maneuverability especially if you use a steering wheel with force feedback. there are over 1000 cars and here the problem, premium cars are almost real or even better but standard cars are not the same, this problem remain even on the circuits, some are great, other are pretty bad. Anyway there's still a lot to do in this game and you will play it for years despite mentioned problems. if you have a ps3 an you love driving games this is the best on the platform

This game was absolutely worth the wait - racing through the streets of London is a highlight.. the driver's licence system, while still there from older versions of the games, doesn't seem to be as "instructive" as you might hope, but still a good time is to be had. Highly recommended.

Gran Turismo 5 is an amazing racing simulator. I really enjoy the physics and the realism of cars behavior and details and the feeling of driving with my Logitech G25 is stunning.

Great value for money.
