An animated western featuring a pet lizard a new take on the genre for sure. The animation and soundtrack are great too. Fun for all.

A great cartoon, very funny but also character driven, giving it real depth and soul. Great music, spectacularly epic scenes and a real Wild West feel similar to the one Sergio Leone managed to convey - despite this not being a live-action film. Recommended!

One of the funniest animated film in 2011. Johnny Depp does a great voice acting in this film directed by Gore Verbinski, Pirates of Caribbean -films.

Rango is genius. Funny, random, crazy. If Hunter S Thompson made cartoons this is what you'd get. The story is wacky, sweet and has huge heart. The characters are perfect, from Rango himself to the smallest background part and the animation is incredible. So vivid and beautifully drawn. The time and effort to create something this beautiful is inspiring. Whatever age you are you will enjoy this film, if you don't seek help you need a sense of humour.

If you want to suspend reality and watch an new take on a good old fasion weatern then Rango is for you. Excellent graphics and surround sound on the Blu Ray gives this tale real cinema quality. Great story for the kids with enough dialogue for the adults to keep them smiling.

Rango is the movie that saved 2011 for Johnny Depp .( the other two - Pirates of the Caribbean and The Rum Diary were , at least for me big disappointments ) . I can't remember the last time I enjoyed an animated movie so much .It was so fresh , so smart , so witty that sometimes you wonder who was the intended audience - kids or adults . Johnny Depp is at it's finest an literally brings Rango the chameleon to life in a new and extremely funny way . That doesn't mean that the other characters are not close to brilliant , and just to name a few Beans , Rattlesnake Jake , Waffles , Priscilla , the Mayor and last but not least the formidable Trio of Owls . I think they spent thousand and thousand of hours on the animation and graphics because Rango is simply stunning !!! You need to see the movie 2-3 times to really discover all the little details and fine touches . If you want a smart , refreshing , beautifully animated action/comedy/drama flick then this is the one to pick. And trust me , you won't regret it .
