Really enjoying watching this with my 5 years old son. Great animations and just the right amount of facts.

Dinosaurs are back on the BBC! One decade on from Walking with dinosaurs, Planet Dinosaur is an unrivalled masterpiece both in terms of Animation and the scientific evidence. Walking with dinosaurs was a CG pioneer in its time but still it had the telltale signs where CG had to be slotted into a physical reality. Planet Dinosaur is entirely CG, so theres no dodgy shots of hand puppets or reflections of film crew in pools of water.(w.w.d - "new blood" episode 1) This means there are no restrictions on the dinosaurs movements or its interaction with the environment or one another. Like the "walking with series", Planet Dinosaur is narrated by a respected voice talent. John Hurt proves to be an excellent narrator. Dinosaur names can be real tongue twisters and Mr Hurt easily deals with these. Excellent!
