Mario Tennis Open lacks enough content to fully satisfy my needs of a Tennis game. Developer Camelot has removed too many details and distilled the game to just power shots from coloured circles. The Multiplayer is also poor. Laggy, hard to find opponents and once you do they're always going to be a hundred times better than you anyway. No match-making is a mistake. The custom games are fun, however, with the Super Mario Bros tennis being the most clever one. The shop were you buy items and clothes for your Mii is sweet but lacks the longevity to pull me in. Cutesy graphics, annoying music and no proper use of the 3D effect. This could have been so much better.
Mario Tennis Open is probably the best tennis game of the saga. Wonderful graphics, with lots of colors and nice animations, incredible music and all the Nintendo's characters that we have known all these years. Nothing new, but a solid and great fantasy-tennis title.
Mario Tennis Open is a really good, new Mario game. As always, it's filled with quality, but it lacks more game modes.
It's been a while but Mario Tennis is finally back and its as fun as ever! Now you can even play as your Mii( fully customisable thanks to over a hundred types of sporting gear to wear)and take on the online leader boards, eager to rank at the number one spot. It supports touch and gyroscopic controls, as well as the classic circle pad buttons, so anyone can grab a copy and start playing!
