Football fun

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Having skipped 09 and 10, FIFA 11 was a whole new gaming experience to me. It feels much more like real football than previous versions, especially with respect to challenges and ball physics. The general difficulty is higher than in older FIFA's, but to my mind you can get used to it. I would say I am acasual gamer nowadays and got to used to playing on the third difficulty level. I must admit it was frustrating at first, but imho this makes victories a lot sweeter than easily winning every game by four to five goals. Limiting the availability of special moves to (simulated) players of a certain level discriminates against gamers who like "bad" teams (Schalke 04 in my case), but makes sense from a simulation point of view.
