Army bore of hell

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Previously I had never played any other incarnations of this game. Things start off promising as there's humour and the cut scene artwork is nicely drawn. I will add they are not animated. The menus within the game are easily navigated and upgrading your minions is simple. Problems start when you get into the gameplay. Initially it's a simple case of moving around, pressing circle and moving on to the next area. Do this 3 - 4 times and level done. Level 2 starts and this time you have a different type of minion so you will be pressing triangle instead of circle. Do this several times and level done. Next level throw in a boss with shiny areas to hit and your done. Repeat this method throughout the game. It gets wry repetitive quickly and it becomes a chore to play. I can't recommend this game to anyone who owns a vita because there are a lot better games to play. However I did like the soundtrack - heavy metal tunes.
