Fighting Fury Overload

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Fight Fight Fight! The Blazblue series since the early days of Calamity Trigger has astounded gamers with the vast array of hand drawn characters and unique special moves and dynamics which make up for an alternate gaming experience to the Street Fighter series for example. This title continues where the other left off. Adding more visual flair and additional characters, it all adds up to one fine damn package. The fighting engine has been tweaked and enhanced for a fluid and entertaining experience. Blazblue games are exactly that. Entertaining first and foremost. The series is a step up for hard core fighters. You will need patience and skill to learn the different moves on offer. This is no button muncher of a game. It seriously requires some time to study the dynamics of engaging an opponent. If you want a quick slam bam thank you mam experience then this game may not be your cup of tea. Also this game definitely requires an arcade stick to be of any value. Without the stick you will feel hampered and find it difficult to pull off the more sensational moves that are required to beat your opponent. Especially if you plan on going on-line, then it is a must for sure. In summary, a fantastic game which deserves more attention than the Street Fighter series for sure. Although that too has it's place in anyone's gaming library. If it came down to playing two fighting gaming systems, I would choose Blazblue and the King of Fighting series. These two systems have evolved over a great period of time and which require alot of in depth study to be really shine. Purchase with confidence knowing you will be in for a real treat.

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2 Extend

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

BlazBlue: Continuum Shift 2 Extend arrived in a week, with no problems. The game is awesome, although hard to learn and master, but in the end it will reward you as the best competitive and balanced game around. It's a must-buy, light years ahead of various Street Fighter games, etc.
