very nice movie about love and war. the war part was quite realistic. Eddie Redmayne was great in it

Birdsong is very good. Much abridged from the book and a good story showing the horrors of war and love.

I watched Birdsong last night, and what a film it is! I'd never heard of Eddie Redmayne before this, but what a fine actor! It really makes you think about when all this really happened, exactly like it does to those poor men in this film. I cried watching it - it's so sad & very moving. I want to watch it again and again. I highly recommend this film.
