The quality of these DVDs are exceptional and it is a pity that ERT didn't use grabs from this set in a recent coverage of Angelopoulos' funeral. Instead they used stretched tapes which someone must have had in their top drawer. I can thoroughly recommend Volume 1 of "The Theo Angelopoulos Collection". It was a pleasure to watch the four films again, but this time in the comfort of my home. If you've not seen an Angleopoulos film before but by this boxset on the recommendation of a friend, start with "The Travelling Players" - this is Anelopoulos' finest film.
