Great value for a classic box set

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Great films given a Bluray transfer. At least this has HD sound unlike some other ones I have purchased recently.

Die Hard Quadrilogy

I'm An old school action FAN of the 90's and this box set is well worth every single dollar, superbly remastered in Blu Ray format is the only way to watch Bruce Willis kick the bad guys behind.

Die Hard Quadrilogy

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The quality of transfers to blu-ray are very good with Die Hard 4.0 being the best of the lot. Die hard and Die Hard with a Vengeance really are great movies that stand the test of time. The former with an all too human cop taking it up to one of the best villains ever. The buddy pairing of Willis and Jackson in the latter one of the best chemistries for such a role. Jeremy Irons nearly out camps Alan Rickmann. Die Harder looks very dated, the two best villains are a particularly nasty little airport cop who seems more frightening than the main protagonists and a narcissistic reporter who gets what's coming to him. Die Hard 4.0 is perhaps the worst of the four, unfortunately the truck and jet fighter scene turned the essential John McLean the troubled cop into "supercop", real jumping the shark stuff, but not quite refrigerators and nuclear blasts but damn close. It's well worth upgrading from DVD if you're a fan.

Good action, not so deep stories

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Die Hard Quadrilogy is a bargain at the lower price. The movies themselves get worse by the number, but the first two or three are quite good. Grab this, if you want to see the golden oldies in HD.
