Resistance 3 is a great shooting game that's so much fun to play with my friends. It is awesome!

In the latest instalment of Resistance for PS3, you journey as a new hero, a common man part of a group that struggles to survive in the Chimera infested world of alternate 50s. The game starts from a small settlement whose relative peace is disturbed when the Chimeras start a huge machine, a Terra Former. A scientist wanders to the settlement and recruits you to stop the machine before a new Ice Age descends upon you. You start your journey towards New York, so that your wife and son may live. Resistance 3 continues on the path that it's prequels set. It gives you new environments, weapons, friends and enemies, along with many already familiar ones. For example, the Auger rifle that has been all previous games too, gives you now the ability to see through walls. A completely new weapon is a powerful cannon that blasts electricity. All weapons have two different fire options and they level up as you use them, becoming more powerful and gaining different perks. Enemies range from familiar basic Chimeras to flying Long Leg Chimeras and wild, zombie-like Feral Chimeras. Environments change rather quickly as you make your way towards New York, and although the levels are pipes with only one entrance and exit, they are wide enough to give an illusion of more open environment. AI of the enemies is rather straight-forward and although enemies like Long Legs quickly change places when you target them, they usually follow a pattern and their next move is rather easy to anticipate. You are not playing as the Chimera infected super-soldier anymore and thus your health is not regenerating. You can heal yourself from cans picked up from dead Chimeras, though. Graphics are OK, most of the environments are different shades of grey and brown, and the weather is usually cloudy. Facial animations are poor and people don't even turn to face you when they talk. Climbing ladders can be confusing and the animation when you do that is really bad, for some reason. You are also very vulnerable when you do so. All in all, Resistance 3 is a game especially for those who liked the previous ones. It's not the kind that will rob your hours of sleep from you but despite of it's lackings, the wide variety of weapons and environments should keep you entertained for it's length of 15-20 hours. Buy it if you liked the previous ones or if you can get it cheap, like from Zavvi.

Okay, if you're looking for a great FPS campaign for your Playstation 3. Look no further than this. It has a great story about pockets of mankind trying to survive on a conquered earth. Making your way to New York, you must battle wave after wave of chimera to save Earth.

I´ve played the first two games in the series and I must say that Resistance 3 is the best of the three. Good graphics, awesome in 3D! The story is good and you are really immersed.
