I have watched this film many times - each time I feel as if I'm watching a slightly different version - such is the timeless quality of the story. David Lynch at his best (in my opinion) and a fabulous cast that bring the clever futuristic plot and sub plots to life. Highly recommended.

Dune is a must have for any Sci-Fi fan or fans of the book/game. Though nearing 30 years old the film has aged remarkably well given it's massive budget and the special effects that were way ahead of their time. This film has a great cast, story and soundtrack provided by Toto make this film a classic worthy of any collection.

Dune is a good film but it is spoiled by one thing, it's not the book. So much of the storyline is absent from the film, the subtle subplots and the development of the characters. Whilst it's a wonderful looking film in it's own right, it is improved by knowing the missing parts. Read the book and then watch the film, it's a much better experience. This particular version is the one without the American TV narrative which also makes it much more watchable.

This Blu-ray edition of Dune is an excellent transfer of the movie. It also features very interesting documents about the making of the film.

Dune is a timeless cult classic which I have loved since I first saw it in the 80s. Great direction by David Lynch, beautiful production design, unique atmosphere and gripping story. But it's a shame the blu-ray release is so stripped for features (two re-released BTS) and video quality not great either. And no subtitles at all. This movie deserved a better blu-ray release. I give 3 stars only because of the release, and not the movie itself. It's still a highly recommended movie!
