It's nice to finally be able to have DBZ on DVD in England, but Manga entertainment has unfortunately chosen to use the funimation oranges bricks has there basis for this release. This means that it's the lazily crop to 16:9 version you'll be watching and not the original 4:3 aspect ratio the show was originally broadcast in, so while watching the show there will a lot of times the tops of characters will be cut of because of this. The cheap nature of the restoration process also means colours as are little to saturated and when the screen starts shaking (and being DBZ this happens a lot) the outlines will of the characters will for some reason disappear. I think though for a lot of people these problems will not be to much of an issues and it's hard not to say it's good value with 40 episodes in the box. In the end it really depends on how much of a fan you are, if you just want to watch the series for fun this isn't a bad choice, but if you are a hardcore fan either import the Dragon Boxes or hold out for something better to be released here.
