I love movies that take place in ancient Rome, and this is one of the earliest movies about the subject. What I like most about Cleopatra is the great acting, the very well made sets and props and the stylish cinematography. Claudette Colbert is absolutely stunning as Cleopatra! After watching this movie I almost can't imagine any other actress playing her. I also love the beautiful steelbook that the movie comes in, and the included booklet has interesting information too! One minor flaw with the movie is that even though it stretches over a period of 18 years, the viewer is never told when the scenes are taking place except the beginning of the movie which takes place in 48 BC. Other than that, this movie is a great classic that really deserves this awesome Blu-ray treatment!
