Headhunters is a Norwegian action thriller based on Jo Nesbø's book of the same title. Comparing this film to any one other film is pretty much impossible since it has so many genres and styles playing throughout. Whether you like the surreal situations of Jean Pierre-Jeunet's Delicatessen, the intense thrills and action of The Bourne Trilogy or the slick heists and twists of Steven Soderbergh's Ocean's films, you'll find something in this for you! Blending all of these styles and genres together really shouldn't work, yet under the direction of Morten Tyldum, and with Jo Nesbø's excellent story behind it, it turns out being a slick, fast paced, action film with insane moments of surreality (look out for the toilet scene and dog scene), all of which works together brilliantly. Pretty much anyone can find something to enjoy within this film, so much so that there is already an American remake in the works, let's just say it will have a lot to live up to!
