The special effects of Battleship are nothing short of spectacular, however some of the acting seemed a bit wooden.

Battleship is an excellent film with mind-blowing special effects, brilliant aliens and superb actors. All in all, it's great value.

Battleship has big stars, a big budget, big action & big special effects. It is entertaining but it is so predictable. A story of a boy who is in trouble, meets a girl and kills the bad guys. Watch it and enjoy.

Battleship is a great film with plenty of action. There's plenty of good actors in it and I have nothing bad to say about it.

Sailors, aliens, explosions and ... Rhianna? An ancient alien race has lay dormant beneath the sea for years and now they decide to pop up and blow us all to bits, and who better to combat this other worldly threat but some ageing actors and pop stars. If you love the transformers movies (big hunks of metal and explosions) then you should be buying this.

I thought Battleship was excellent. Its an all action film with a great story which answers the question are we alone in the Solar System? It doesn't disappoint with a great cast of actors including Rihanna. If you like lots of great action, great visual effects, a bit of romance thrown in and great acting then you will love this film.

...And so much the better for that! Battleship delivers pretty much everything you might expect: big action, huge effects, loud explosions, aliens, romance, a touch of pathos and some laughs. I don't think anyone will expect a Citizen Caine or Dr Zhivago, but if they expect to be entertained they won't be disappointed.

I went to see Battleship at the cinema with my two boys (age 10 & 12). It is a typical bad American boy turns good and saves the world and gets the girl. There are some good special effects but don't go for the story or acting. What is a fine actor like Liam Neeson doing in a movie like this? (the pay cheque must have been good). The middle of the movie is the alien invasion, the scenes with the alien spaceships are the best (similar to Transformers). It's just ok, but my boys really enjoyed it. I gave it 2 stars, but they give it 4 stars, so I've awarded the average of 3 stars.
