Excellent service
*Please note, this is not a review of the film itself (plenty of those out there), it's a review of the 3D conversion and Blu-ray.* One of the best 3D films I have seen, if not the best (can't decide between this and Gravity). Having bought a fancy 3D TV, I have thus far been disappointed with the choice and quality of 3D Blu-rays available. I had almost given up on 3D as a home format. Titanic 3D has changed my mind completely - in fact, it's fair to say it blew me away. It shows just what can be done. Considering this is a conversion of a 2D film, it's even more impressive. Unlike many films, the 3D effect is not jarring or intrusive. In fact, you almost forget it's there after a while and it just adds to what is already a great movie. One thing I hadn't realised is that at the same time as the 3D conversion, the film was also remastered to 4K resolution. Most people won't have a 4K TV (I don't), but even on a 1080p set, you can see the difference. The picture quality is just incredible. Yes, it comes on two discs but there is simply no way to fit a film of this length, at this quality on one disc. You have to remember the whole thing is essentially on there twice - two versions of every frame, one for each eye. Once you've experienced it, you'll be glad they made the decision to split it over 2 discs. I cannot rcommend this enough.
Still just as amazing today as it was the first time I saw it. With all the added extras this is a must buy for any Titanic fan.
