For anyone who followed the on-going adventures of the gang at Cheers, it was inevitable the series would have to end, although Cheers - Season 11 was perhaps a good point to lay this series to rest. Presumably the cast were all eager to not become too type cast. Although the writing remained witty, it seemed as if it had run its course, and although perhaps not as immediately engaging as the first few seasons, this stands up well. The final episode feels poignant and was a satisfactory way of drawing everything to a close. If you enjoyed the previous series you will enjoy this. All good things come to an end.
