Dead Space 3 is a wicked game, however there was almost complete lack of any horror elements whatsoever. The entire first game was a hair-raising experience. The second game toned down the horror in favour of more action, but still had several memorable sequences. This new one is not only devoid of any horror sequences, but any particular memorable sequences at all. One would expect a game called Dead Space to have at least some amount of horror in it but that's hardly the case here. Instead, DS3 feels more like a Gears of War title but with cooler weapons and creepier enemies.

Dead Space 3 contains everything that made previous Dead Space games awesome, plus weapon customisation systems, co-op, and just about anything else you could ask for.

I really wanted to like Dead Space 3, and I was biased towards doing so based on my love of the last two games. However, it just is not on a par. The beginning was enjoyable, the middle was tolerable and then (particularly on Tau Volantis) it just dragged. Too many enemies are chucked at you in waves which assists in killing the atmosphere - and ammunition is far too abundant (based on playing the game through on hard difficulty). The save system is dreadful, popping you back at earlier checkpoints, rather than where you are when you see the saving sign pop up. Weapon crafting is just dull. Personally, I enjoyed the whole node thing in the previous titles and maxing things out on new game plus. Crafting just feels unnecessary and in some cases - such as electrified rippers - totally overpowered. So, summed up, it's dsappointing to say the least!

Dead Space 3 is a great game like the two before it. It's less stressful and more linear but it remains a good game.

I've always been a big fan of the Dead Space series, and Dead Space 3 definitely doesn't let it down. They really haven't lost anything with this installment, as they've come up with plenty of new puzzles for you to solve and improved the game play at the same time. It's truly is worth every penny, so grab yourself a copy.

I've been playing Dead Space 3 for a few days now and I've found it provides as much entertainment as the last one. Best of all it gets straight into it again. This is much recommended if you liked the last 2 in the series, or indeed even if you haven't played the last 2.

Dead Space 3 is a brilliant addition to the Dead Space saga - a definite must have. Once it's on I have a very difficult time putting down the pad to do anything.

I will make this quick! Dead Space 3 is an epic game in both scope and execution. It's not as scary as the previous games, but still has some scary moments.
