Fantastic!

If you've loved previous Mario games then you won't be disappointed with New Super Mario Bros. U. This brilliantly designed game looks great on screen and is really fun to play, both with friends and by yourself. It's well worth the money in my opinion.

a good game but not price.

New Super Mario Bros. U (Wii U) is a good game but not the best and I don't know why it costs too much. There's not even much content in it. There are many games within the same price range that give you much more content than this.

Once again Peach has been kidnapped by Bowser, leaving Mario and friends to save her. This game is fun and challenging and a laugh in multiplayer! Great fun for all, especially Mario fans!

Super Super Mario

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Almost a spiritual successor to Super Mario World, it's a return to form for Super Mario in HD glory. Lets face it, past Mario games have all been great but the difficulty and challenge here is finely balanced. Dead again... oh, go on then, just another go...

A Mario game. What more needs to be said? Great fun, with a nice two player option where the gamepad player can add blocks to the screen to help, or hinder, the other player. It's Mario, if you like Mario then you'll like this!

Another Great Mario Game

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

New Super Mario Bros. U is everything you would come to expect from the series and more. The story mode is pretty much the same as the others except for the impressive Mario World style over-world map. The new acorn power up is fun and the baby Yoshis were also fun to use, especially them singing with the music. Another good thing about NSMBU are the boost rush and challenge modes which are really fun, and hard enough to test the best Mario players. Overall this game isn't much new as the title suggests, but it is still the best one of the series and looks really good in HD.

Getting there!

It's no Super Mario World or Yoshi's Island, but they're on the right path. Mario U pretty much takes the previous titles from the Wii and improves on it, making levels have a much nicer flow. Pipes are less geometric throughout and the HD polish looks fantastic. It's a must have for any platform gamer and a brilliant way to start the Wii U's lifespan.

There has been much anticipation for the release of Nintendo's first Mario game on their latest console. The solo play experience is a familiar one in some respects, which will remind veteran players of the classic Super Mario World on the Super Nintendo. However, there are plenty of surprises here as well. The more you play, the more you are rewarded by the variety of the later levels. The visuals are wonderful in HD and the glorious soundtrack is as catchy and fun as always. The multiplayer experience could be the best ever for this type of game, with four players on the big screen and a fifth with the Wii U pad, tapping the screen to place platforms to help the others. It's quite brilliant. Of all the launch titles available on the Wii U, this, together with Nintendoland, could be the ones to get.
