It's easy to dismiss Transformers Prime as another kids game on a Nintendo console. True, it's a Wi U exclusive title (ignoring the lower quality Wii version) and yes, it comes from the cartoon rather than a movie or homage to the G1 toys, but Transformers Prime is a lot better than you think. It plays pretty much as an extra long episode of the cartoon with some nice animated cut scenes between levels and voice acting throughout the game/ Fans will be pleased to hear that you can transform whenever you want and this provides a more free feel to the action, though for the most part you'll be better off in robot form where races and long jumps aren't needed, then guided into vehicle form for those sections that require it. The levels are diverse in environment, though action mostly takes the form of running along corridors or in an arena blasting and punching everything that moves. In a nice diversion from this there are racing and vehicle based sections to split up the action. The game won't take the average player long to complete, but it seems to be more aimed at younger fans, anyway, and provides them with a take on the High Moon Transformer games that arrived on 360 and PS3 in previous years. What's more. you get to unlock a fun multiplayer battle mode with various arenas to fight in, which should extend gameplay that much longer.
