I thought this was a brilliant film but it didn't really measure up to number 4 for me, but still an excellent zombie movie and a continued story for this brilliant film franchise. If your a first time Resident Evil viewer I would recommend watching the the first movies so you're not lost, but fans of the films will see a lot of returning characters and fans of the games will see some familiar faces.

Having enjoyed the umbrella corporation saga thus far, I was looking forward to the 'last' installment of the saga, only to find out at the very end of Resident Evil: Retribution that Alice will definitely be back. Overall, the plot has not changed much, so you have loads of action, gore and a fast paced story. Milla Jovovich is as usually relishing her role as Alice, and the 96 minutes fly by. Michelle Rodriguez and her co stars also do their thing really well. Paul W. Anderson directs as usual, and the scenes are crisp and tight. The Blu-ray picture is outstanding, and the special features and exclusives are worth a look. Overall, this movie does not disappoint.
