BEST CHALLEGE EVER

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

The most challenging game ever, Almost 150 hours of pure duel techincs to complete the game, and then, it starts again in NG+ (new game) , NG++ etc increasing difficulty. So... you'lll never need a new game for months... A++++. PS, Mine came with a nice limited edition comic book. thanks ZAVII!

Excellent :)

Dark Souls 2 is immensely enjoyable and very deep, despite faltering in the story department and in some game design elements.

Awesome game

After finally receiving the game on the Tuesday following the release date (thanks Zavvi) I am thoroughly enjoying it. Firstly, the mechanics. You can hit stuff with your weapons. However the same can be said of the enemies. Except not quite the same because they tend to hit you, not enemies. You may find that the enemies are particularly good at hitting you and if this is the case I would recommend getting better at hitting them until they die. Use many souls. When you kill an enemy you take their souls and they make you stronger. Don't lose those souls because you need them. If you die, go find your body and get your souls back. Failing that you'll lose them all. If you lost a lot of souls you'll feel like a right silly plonker, I'll tell you what Light many bonfires to make a checkpoint for when you die. You can also fast travel from bonfire to bonfire. If you don't do that then, psht, what you doin'? Don't be a silly Sandra, get all up in that bonfires grill and light that sucker up. Secondly the graphics and design. This is where the game shines. The graphics are pretty bad technically but luckily Dark Souls 2 has got your back on that one. The designs are all kinds of sexy. Except they aren't very sexy usually because everything looks quite ugly and dead. But in a good way. Graphics bad - design sexy ugly and dead but good. Thirdly, I'm hungry and need food so I'm gonna wrap this review up with an overall 10 out of 10 yes goods. Buy it unless you don't want to. But I say you should want to buy it so start wanting to buy this game now damnit!

Beyond Death

Welcome back to the unforgiving world of Dark Souls... the path will be long and tortuous but you will be rewarded in the end... eventually... Truly the hardest game of the year but if your are tough enough to accept the challenge, you will be victorious and respected by all! In comparison with the previous game, this one is incredibly vast and varied. You will come back to areas already crossed to unlocked all its secrets and find new items. The coop mode as been slightly improved for your friends to join you but still perfectible. Good luck to you all in your journey to salvation!

Prepare to die, AGAIN!

Probably being the last great game on the PS3/360 consoles, Dark Souls 2 is quite simply breathtaking in it's scope. This game offers a diverse open world and in depth character design system, so the experience is different for everyone. It must be said however that the game can be tough for those who are new to the series but the difficulty is not insurmountable with a little practice. There are also in-game items that can help tone down the difficulty of the game. One of the most innovative features of the game is it's enigmatic multiplayer functions. Allowing players to summon and be summoned by each other for a variety of exciting PVP or PVE and Co-op gameplay options All in all, the games in the Souls series should all be part of your collection as they are some of the most ambitious games of the PS3/360 era, and Dark Souls 2 is a great entry point to the series. I give it 9 thumbs up
