If you are a fan of the God of War series, then this is more of the same, albeit on a smaller scale. As these games are based on the PSP adventures the games are much shorter than in the other 4 main games. This doesn't mean that they are not an essential play if you are a fan as the stories are just fantastic. Chains of Olympus is set before the first game when Kratos is still champion of the gods. Ghost of Sparta is set after the first game, but before God of War II, and sees Kratos unravelling a mystery from his past. In conclusion you are getting 2 great games at a very good price. I held off for a while until the price dropped and Zavvi has this at the lowest price around.

Two excellent games remastered for Ps3.They are a little bit old but you can play them in HD so the gameplay is smooth ! Kratos is the best ! Enjoy !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

God of War HD Collection Volume II is a must have for every God of War saga fan. This game is an epic adventure for an epic prize.

In my opinion, both games in the God of War HD Collection Volume II: Essentials pack were remastered very well and provide an excellent gaming experience (with very good fps). This is a must buy for God of War fans because it adds so much to the story.

The God of War HD Collection Volume II: Essentials is a great collection. It's worth buying for every God of War fan!

God of War HD Collection Volume II: Essentials is the 2nd collection edition featuring Kratos' past. Chains of Olympus takes place 10 years before GOW. The game follows Kratos through the 10 years he was in service to the gods. Another game is Ghost of Sparta. The story lies between GOW and GOW II. Kratos sets on a journey to the city of Atlantis to find his brother Deimos, of whom his mother has spoken of. Both games are visually familiar, but still offer an experience a true GOW fan mustn't leave out. The games kind of fill the gap where the first collection lacked in storytelling.

Any fan of the series should try God of War HD Collection Volume II: Essentials.
