Broadchurch is excellent. It's well scripted and acted. It was hard not to watch all eight episodes at once.

Excellent! Compelling, intelligent and entertaining. Watched this DVD back to back. Not a great fan of David Tennant but he won me over here. This is not your usual run of the mill TV drama. There is a little twist at the end.

Good whodunnit!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Broadchurch is an excellent film from ITV. The gut wrenching scenes from the mother on learning that her son has been murdered, the red herrings along the way where quite a few of the inhabitants of the small village have something to hide but not necessarily anything to do with the murder. The way the DS has to "grow up" quite quickly to cope with the developing problems along the way. A star-studded cast with their talents used to the full. It's well worth the money. If you haven't seen it buy the DVD today.

Original who-done-it

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Broadchurch stands out from most other who-done-it murder mysteries by concentrating much more on the aftermath of the crime and how it affects those affected, and placing just as much importance on it as the actual solving of the crime. Each episode more often than not revolves around a certain resident of the titular Broadchurch seaside community, and we discover their secrets and how they relate to the murder of the young boy. It is let down somewhat by a sudden and unexpected conclusion.
