Let's be realistic. The original War of the Worlds was really something. In War of the Worlds - Paramount Centenary Limited Edition Steelbook, Spielberg's vision of the story opens up rather big, but eventually sheets us from what is going on out there. The paranoia trigger is used, but with little effect. Still, despite the rampant behavior of Cruise and his children, and what little you get to see of the invasion, it still makes for an adequate watch. This edition is a must for steelbook lovers. It's a beautiful box to add to my Spielberg collection.
