Having this classic movie in a steelbook, amazing! The quality is great, the steelbook looks amazing, so really impressed with the service, price and quality.

I'm disappointed with the finish on the Independence Day - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook as I can't see any gloss at all. I expected it to be much better looking in hand.

Independence Day is just not as good quality as other steel books released at same time, a little disappointed.

Independence Day - Zavvi Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook was not exactly the Casablanca of movies. Was it fun? Sure. Was it a brilliant movie? I don't think so. Is it hailed as a good sci-fi flick? I guess. The steelbook is a nice package that adds a collective quality to any fan and comes just in time prior to the release of its forthcoming sequels. It's good. There is no extended version here, just the classic feature. It's nice enough to own.

Independence Day deserved a great treatment just like the steelbook Zavvi offered us! The Blu-ray quality just kills the DVD for this Sci-Fi movie which doesn't age.

Independence Day is a very good looking steelbook case although there's no embossing or debossing.

This is what people want from a steelbook, minimal yet engrossing. Standard blu-ray disc and does look good as much as it should, and a nice addition to anyones steel collection.

I'm not going to talk about the film as if you buy this you have probably already seen it or know what it's about. I will however talk about the nice transfer to Blu-ray. They have taken out a lot of grain and the picture is as crisp as it can be given the transfer from the original print. The packaging is beautiful and well made too so it is a good addition for a steelbook collector. I give it 4 stars as the transfer was not as food as say aliens or jaws but in fairness a lot more time and money was spent on the upscaling also the extras are nice but nothing more than you would expect. All-in-all a great little package for the independence day fan!
