The Wicker Man is possibly my favourite film of all time, so I've been very excited about the Blu Ray release. It's beautifully packaged, and The Final Cut is superb. The only thing that slightly spoils this for me, as I didn't realise the 2nd disc in this package was the DVD version: the non steelbook Blu Ray features a 2nd DVD with the directors cut and the theatrical version. That might be overkill to the casual Wicker Man fan, if such a thing exists!

A great looking steel book, although this version hasn't been restored it is still a great film. Excellent performances all round, when it comes to the sing song around the bonfire at the end it just makes me wish I had some toasted marshmallows to go with it.

I've had my eye on this for a while, so when it came down in price I just HAD to have it. The steelbook is even more beautiful in person, very simplistic. Can't wait to watch the Final Cut on Blu-ray now. A MUST OWN for any fan of the original 1970's classic.

This is a wonderful release from Zavvi for a classic film. Having the seen The Final Cut on the big screen I was delighted to hear that it had been released to Blu-Ray/DVD. This Final Cut has been lovingly restored and even the scenes inserted into the film 30 or so years after it's initial release look marvellous. The packaging is also beautiful with superb artwork that captures the spirit of this unique British horror film. There are also some welcome extras including Mark Kermode's excellent documentary The Cult Of The Wicker Man and some new additions featuring the insights from famous fans of the film including director Ben Wheatley (Kill List, Sightseers). Unfortunately the shorter documentary featured on the earlier DVD release - The Wicker Man Enigma - isn't included but you can't have everything. All in all this is perhaps the definitive release of this classic of British Cinema.

Beautifully packaged Blu-ray, unfortunately there were some scenes where the picture quality was lacking. But overall a good looking movie.

The Wicker Man has been waiting for this definitive, final cut version which restores footage thought lost forever and creates the director's definitive version of a film that has scared generations witless. There's no gore, simply a steadily building sense of claustrophobia, weirdness and discomfort. The pacing is masterful and the performances much better than a film of this genre deserve. One of the ten best horror films of all time!
