I bought this as a filler game for my son's 8th birthday. Obviously the graphics are 'retro' so I'd thought it was a boring and basic game. it has totally surprised me in the way that it has caught my son's imagination - he joins his friends online to create all sorts of worlds. I am sometimes tired of all the gaming (and lack of actual playing) in my house - but this game is different. It inspires the kids, challenges the kids, encourages the kids - I'm pleasantly surprised that it isn't just gaming for the sake of it. It appears to be very very easy to use & I certainly haven't been asked to help at any stage. I would definitely encourage people to get this game - there's no real gaming involved, its just a computerised version of lego in my opinion.

Got this for my 6 year old coz his watches all the minecraft video's on youtube and loves them but he really doesn't understand how to play the game and do it himself, should have waited until he was 7 like the game suggests.

I recently bought minecraft for my eight year old son who absoultley adours this game, very addictive but also very creative not just boring games or shooting, bad driving or brain numbing tv adaptation for gamers, but an honestly creative thinking platform for kids of all ages. No wonder it has sold millions of copies on all platforms.

Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is an awesome game. The graphics are deliberately simple and basic, yet the gameplay allows you the freedom to play at a pace and level to suit you. It challenges you to live and survive in a rural setting developing farming, mining and building. All that limits you is your imagination.
