Thief is a great game, the graphics are great and the storyline is reasonable. At times it would have been nice to have a little more flexibility when moving around the world.

A lot of reviews have slated thief, and ill hold my hands up ive been a fan since the first thief came out in the 90's so I may be a tad biased. Pros: The game is awesome, its captured the feel and flow of the original games and moves seamlessly between cutscenes and game flow leaving you feeling you are doing awesome sections. The sound and pacing is awesome and the chapters are nicely done with enough side quests to keep you interested in between. Cons: Speech is a bit buggy, some people will be really quiet when close or really loud, some speech will be played twice or over other talking, turning on subtitles helps but can ruin the immersion. Loading sections can be annoying and disrupt exploration of the city. A personal gripe, but the story doesn't feel like a "thief" story, hardly any mention of the hammerites/pagans it may as well of been a completely different setting to the original games. Overall if you liked the original thiefs which I consider to be the original stealth em up's you'll overlook the cons for an enjoyable experience as garrett.

Even though they could have spent a little time on getting sync of speech correct the game plays well. The scenes are difficult enough but with a little perseverence they can be overcome, where it is sometimes let down is that some scenes are a little too dark even if you lighten screen display. Overall this is a welcome addition to a games library, go try it out!!
