I am old-school and my first vampire film was Dracula with Langella. Fast forward and I watched Near Dark and loved every bit(e) of it!! Fast forward many more years later and I managed to get an invite to Interview with the Vampire and was riveted by the lighting and atmospheric nature of the film!! Fast forward to present when I heard that Jordan was returning to the sanguine, I was so excited!! I was definitely in heaven watching Jordan return to this genre! While not as moody as Interview, a great film nonetheless with fantastic performances and direction!! Definitely worth checking out!!! Oh, and by the way, my vampires DO NOT SPARKLE.

Excellent, classy Steelbook of a stunning movie. Dark, violent, touching and tragic. A must own for any collector.

This is not your run of the mill Vamp flick if you will, I really enjoyed its original perspective & the ideas that were infused in the whole plot. Byzantium why because it is an Empire that was in the Heart of Christianity. & that the cross that Jesus was crucified upon, & the other two bandits crosses were actually at Byzantium. Not to give anything away we go back & forth as the story unfolds before us past & present. The acting all the way around is excellent. The steelbook also compliments the film.★★★★★

Byzantium. Fantastic dark visuals and story. Great vampire movie from the director of the interview with the vampire, if you are a fan of this genre this movie is a must see !!!!

In my growing up and watching many different films with the subject of vampirism, one trait of my fanged friends is clear to me - THEY DO NOT SPARKLE. Seeing Neil Jordan return to familiar territory that he explored beautifully in Interview with the Vampire, we see another perspective here in Byzantium. The notion of a male dominated vampire world which has seen the female take a foothold in their exclusive world. Gemma does a fantastic job as the seductress and matriarch for Saoirse Ronan's sensitive feeler and thinker. Production values are top notch and the modern world they inhabit seems truly real. This is definitely one worth checking out and opening your mind, and jugular to!!

Great underrated film,great transfer.Only four stars because of slight dent on the steel caseing.

This Steel is an excellent option for any fan of the movie. When you consider the price of the plastic case, its basically a no-brainer. The Steel is done in a flat paint style, but has certain reflective qualities, especially when the shrink wrap is removed. Removing the J-Card is also quite rewarding...

love the steelbook love the film wasnt sure when i went to see it a cinema but loved it so got this good picture quality and sound a great buy
