To me this Castlevania left its main roots to try something new. I waited to buy it because I seen videos and finally the collection came out. CLoS is a fun hack and slash game similar to God of War. The gameplay is smooth and responsive. The detailed world looks beautiful but what bothers me is the restricted CAMERA that prevents me to look around. Basically the whole time your playing the camera is directed in one perspective only which is above annoying after a while. Weapon upgrades are pretty cool and adds that extra flare to the game. I hate QTE,but thats my personal opinion. The storyline is actually ok considering in the Castlevania series that has always been non existent. Mirrors of Fate: 2d type 3d type side scroller. Really fun and brings us back to a better time with modern graphics. I have not played it much because I wanted to complete the series in order. Will update later..... Overall I payed 26.90 for 2 fantastic games plus DLC,glad i waited to purchase it.

Game is a must have for old school fans of Castlevania and with this beautiful steelbook it's amazing addition to any game collection. I highly recommend this game to any player. Cheers!

The game is great and should not be missed. Having the collect with bonus content and a steelbook makes it a must buy for me. The steelbook is unique and is a nice addition to my collection.

Fantastic game by the spanish company MercurySteam, if you didn't play it three years ago don't hesitate and purchase it right now. If you like games like God of War, Darksiders or Dante's Inferno you won't be disappointed. Great story and shocking twist at the end :)

A little review of Castlevania : Lords of Shadows. So I've been playing this game for about 2-3 weeks now. Since I'm playing all my games on the most difficult level available that was the scenario I had in mind with Castlevania. But no, wait! Three chapters into the game and it was definitely too much too handle. The story is great and graphics are amazing. What I love about this game is the complexity of moves. Because you start with a set of default moves and unlock more advanced moves throughout the game. You can't just keep going forward without mastering most or all moves at your disposal. After mastering every move your preety much a killing machine for demons, vampires and other creatures of the night. In conclusion, it's a preety sweet deal. Steelbook edition with two DLC-s and a HD game from PSP. Preety much a no-brainer in terms of buying. Definitely would recommend!

This is one great steelbook! It really is. I love the artwork, I love the relief in the title on the front. Also it comes with a nice printed plastic sleeve. The game was wrapped in a sturdy cardboard box, and covered in foam wrap to keep it safe. A downside of the product is that only the base game of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow is on the disc. The DLC, Mirror of Fate and the Lords of Shadow 2 demo are all digital downloads. But this steelbook will look good in your collection!

I bought this in prep for the second one, the demo of which I played at Comic-Con, and Jesus I'm so glad I did!! This has become one of my favourite games already! I would highly recommend this to anyone into video games and who just wants good puzzles, a great storyline and a phenomenal time!

The games itself for those who haven't played is a a mix of heavy combat and platform/exploration. With the combat you learn various move sets and build upon these with light and dark magic to unleash devastating combos and move sets. There are plenty of boss battles, some requiring a bit of strategy to over come and a whole host of supernatural.enemies to encounter. The story itself is well written with convincing voice acting from patrick stewart and robert carlisle, and acts as a prequel to the series and an understanding of how betrayel leads the protagonist on a path of damnation. The dlc included can be played after the main story line and is quite challenging too and is best for those who have mastered the games combat
