Jeremy Irons gives a portrayal of a powerful tyrant that stands alongside his 'Henry IV' performance for the BBC.

I bought this series wandering whether I would manage to stay the course. I must admit that I have watched one or two episodes each night and enjoyed every minute. I knew very little of the Borgia family until I watched this fabulous television serious. I know that the writers of most historical television series do try to embroider the some of the fact to obtain the attention of the audience. Well, they had done this time and I was one of those who thought that it was worth buying this set of DVDs. Great stuff!

The Borgias is a TV box set that stars Jeremy irons, the moment you start watching it you will become addicted. It portrays life in the middle ages and how the Catholic Church controlled world affairs by using it's power to influence Kings and countries. You will soon see where the term Cardinal Sin came from, the biggest sinners are not the congregation but the papacy itself.
