Really good 70's slasher movie, Nice edition too.
I'd never seen this film before and was waiting for a dvd release with a decent quality picture. This just about delivers even though there are still minimal flaws in the overall picture quality which are really hardly worth mentioning. You have to bear in mind this didn't have a huge budget and was made in 1976 with good old fashioned physical effects and none of this cgi rubbish which I think has made the film industry these days very dull and sterile. This was at times disturbing, in particular the first 15 or so minutes but very compelling. It reminded me at times of Don't Look Now and Psycho. Paula E Sheppard was awesome as young Alice. Sadly this was one of only a handful of TV/Movie appearances that she actually made. A shame really as she was great in this role. Linda Miller looked as gorgeous as ever as Alice's mum. The killer was revealed three quarters of the way through the film (or was she?). At the end you'll see what I mean. Definitely worth the wait and a film I will definitely revisit..
