Disney have pulled it out the bag again with this amazing story, great songs, and amazing characters. This is a must for any disney fan great for all the family. The only things that I would change with the steelbook is to make the finish glossy and to also have the name of the film of the steelbook as well as the slip for consistency. Other than that this is amazing.
The best steel book cover ever - Zavvi have out did themselves this time by simply creating something unique and not just issuing the same cover as the blu ray issue. Really inventive cover, please do more like this!!!!!
The film alone is superb, fantastic characters, excellent songs and an instant classic without a doubt. The steelbook is awesome, it has a matt finish, no embossing or debossing which is fine as this hasn't got the title of the film either on the front or spine, the images, colour and detail speaks volumes. Highly recommend you see the film if you haven't and to also pick up a copy of the steelbook if you can.
This film is truly excellent and even better in 3D i enjoyed every moment of it and the Steelbook is fantastic! I also received it a few days before release so i was well happy!!!
Frozen looks fantastic on Blu-ray. The Steelbook is AMAZING! The artwork is so lovely! Not to mention the delivery time! Got it 2 days before its release day! Zavvi never fails with pre-orders. 1st class guys! Thanks again!
EPIC best Disney film so far
I regret to say that I missed this film at the cinema, but being a Disney fan from a really young age; I'm always interested to see what they come out with and since the films of my youth (Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty and the Beast, Lion King etc. - the 'Golden Age' of Disney), there have been some hits and some misses but I can honestly say, that in recent years (since Princess and the Frog IMO) Disney have seen a return to form and the popularity of this movie does justice to the brilliance it is. The story is typical and not-so-typical Disney and centres on 2 sisters; Anna & Elsa... The latter having the magical ability to create ice from her hands thus making her the 'Snow Queen' of this story. Due to an accident when they were children, Anna has grew up without her sister as Elsa has concealed herself away as to not hurt her sister again or anyone else. But naturally, something happens and Elsa's gift is made public knowledge and she runs from the Kingdom having been branded a monster and in doing so, covers the land in an eternal Winter. It's now up to Anna and a couple of sidekicks to find Elsa and save her from herself and from those now out to kill her as she is seen as a threat (there is more to the story than this but - this is just a brief outline). The story takes some unexpected twists and turns and doesn't necessarily end in typical Disney fashion, though there are of course elements in there. As I said earlier, recently Disney have produced some great films; Princess and the Frog, Tangled and this one is just as good as either of those and indeed, as many of the classics from Disney past. The score by Christophe Beck is stunning and the songs, especially 'Let It Go' are catchy, meaningful and all-round incredible making me buy the Soundtrack which I believe is still in the 'Top 5' at the time of writing this. The Steelbook itself, which is the edition I just had to go for, is beautiful featuring Elsa on the front cover (which pleases me as this is my favourite character in the film) and Sven (the Reindeer), Kristoff, Anna and Olaf (the Snowman) on the back. The inside features equally stunning artwork of Anna looking up at her sister's ice palace she's created on the side of a mountain. It's done in a matte finish which, I know, annoyed some but I like it just as it is and comes with the 2D and 3D editions of the movie (the 3D is worth it btw.). All round, Zavvi have done well with this release and it seems to be sold out at the minute but if more stock comes in, I recommend picking it up as the movie and the steelbook are 100% worth it.
great film & a great steelbook only thing to let it down was no title on case
This is my fave disney film of all time. That includes pixar aswell. Im 29 and still enjoy disney but this film will make anyone start liking disney again. If you look how good some other disneys are yet they had never won a oscar. Until now!
