Really good story and not so grindy as MH. Finished main story in like 16 hours and there're still a few things to play with, online included.
A good title, on the line of ragnarok odyssey but very good game and very nice idea of mixing samurais and quests and the equipment can be changed. for now the best price in europe!! Thanks Zavvi
Everything is good :]
Toukiden had my attention from the first trailer and bit of news I heard. Initially we didn't think it would get localised in the west. Luckily it did. I've always been a huge Monster Hunter fan. And thoroughly enjoyed MH3 on 3DS and Wii U. But Toukiden isn't Monster Hunter clone. Created by the same Japanese studio that do the Dynasty Warriors games. If there is one studio that knows what it is to cut your foes into pieces. It's definitely them. The lore is great also. Has eastern elements in with something that Monster hunter lacks. It's got story. The battles are very much the same as Monster Hunter. But the controls are fun, responsive and just overall plain awesome. Game is huge also. To get the platinum trophy will take about 200 hours of game time. Which is not a bad thing at all. The audio is superb also. The Japanese voice acting has been left as is. But it's guided with subtitles. Everything else is still in English. The weapons are awesome and powerful Accompanied by souls you rescue from the Oni. Can be infused to make a more powerful weapon. I really am a big fan of Toukiden. If you like games like Monster Hunter. The get a Vita and definitely get this.
Great game for the vita, very easy to pick up and play in small stints. Good variety of weapons and play styles. Easily able to sink a lot of hours into it making it well worth the money. Added co-op mode makes it ideal for social gaming
This is the first time for me to play this kind of game, I always heard about "Monster Hunter" but I've always been too scared to play it because it would be too hard to play especially for people like me that can't play many hours a game just to obtain an object to complete an a new weapon. This game it's not easy at all but gives great satisfactions, bosses are hard to kill but play online with other players is always very fun. The story is pretty good and it'll push you to finish the game and then continue online with the free DLC and other missions.
Great game.
good game
This is a competent Monster Hunter-style game, with a lot more historical Japanese flavour. It gets rid of some of the grind and repetitive action that the Monster Hunter series is famed for, but doesn't have the same degree of weapon variety. LOTS of gameplay hours here though - good value even at full price.
