Just as good as the standard, picture a lot clearer film is as great as I remember. Home screen is loaded with the go ninja song from the second film which was amazing, really worth getting if a fan and a very well detailed steeelbook

This was one of my favourite movies growing up...When I see it was to be released as bluray I put my order in straight away, I thought wow this movie is over 2O years old I can't wait to see what it's going to look like in HD..The movie it's self is still a fun, comic,action hero comedy to watch and the steelbook looks fantastic ( although mine was slightly damaged)...but....I was disappointed with the quality of the bluray . To me it looked no better than the region 1, 4 disc boxset I have. Yes there are some scenes that look sharp but this does not continue through out the movie....it's like a transfer straight from DVD with distortion and grain in the picture... I guess I have come to think that with the quality that bluray can achieve and the tools to restore movies available now I take for granted and expect all blurays to look superb, and forget that sometimes companies don't care to much and just want to cash in ( the new 2014 movie out soon )....so to sum up I don't regret the steelbook and the movie still is great but don't expect out of this world picture...the movie is uncut with the extended Shredder death scene and Michelangelo nun chuks shoot out oh and there is no DTS soundtrack. For the collector as of only 2500.
