A must for every fan of great comedy! Watching genius Phil Silvers at the top of his game is pure pleasure! And so many great characters around him too - Doberman, Zimmerman, Papparelli, Colonel Hall, to name just a few. Do yourself a favour - buy this box set - it will give you hours and hours of laughs!

Bilko has definitely stood the test of time and still has the appeal factor. Superb entertainment, Phil Silvers is absolutely brilliant as are the rest of the cast. I would recommend Sgt Bilko to anyone that is interested in comedy from a sorely missed bygone age, a superb comedy show that many of today's writers could learn from.

Long time for release, but worth it. Bilko could muster up more laughs in 20 minutes than most "comedy" shows manage in a whole series. Phil Silvers tour de force is almost impossible to emulate. Some wonderful shows here the colonel breaks par, with the help of Ben Hogan. Bilko's perfect day and the list really does go on and on. Buy it, watch it, enjoy it, then watch it again, enjoy itagain, then....

What can i say about Sgt. Bilko. It is a sitcom from the late 50s that even thought it was made 60 years ago, it is still out does a lot of the so called comedy's you get today. The film of the 90s didn't do this show justice and if you only seen the film thinking the show will be the same, you will be wrong. This was grand-father of sitcom and it shows. Phil Sliver is great comedian of his time and plays the part of Bilko perfect. I got into BIlko when i was a teenager and now in my late 20s still love the show, so it is a show that can apply to modern day people, it not just an oldie show for old people, it is a show for everyone. I would say just check it out, happy to see that you can finally own all of them on DVD.

I bought the 50th anniversary box set last year, which turns out its just the first series, now i have bought the complete series from Zavvi, i just started watching it , its very funny, very much recomended, you won,t be disapointed, i never saw it for sale anywhere else for the complete box set. for the whole family.

Takes me back when I used to watch it on my black and White telly. I used to watch it nearly all the time because the snooker was hard to watch. I cant believe how many episodes there are, all Brilliant quality! Still looking for my favourite episode where they are baking cookies to look like playing cards using currents as symbols.....Only for one of them to complain of a Crummy hand. Still I'm enjoying trawling through all these Lovely disks! Buy it! Its well worth it!

Well over 50 years old these episodes stand the test of time and is very quick witted humour. Most enjoyable

Sgt. Bilko: The Phil Silvers Show - The Complete Collection is a present for someone, I remember watching the show with them many moons ago. I was brilliant then, I'm sure it will be again.
