Deja vu in a good way

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Ah yes, Far Cry. The first game was good and innovative back in the days. Far Cry 2 was boring and incredibly repetitive, Far Cry 3 was excellent and I love seeing Far Cry 4 in its predecessors league. If you're expecting a revolution - there isn't one (except for incredible graphics - thanks to new consoles). Developers played it safe and basically released Far Cry 3 again changing the location. The game feels very much like the previous part and it's a good thing. First of all, there is plenty to do. I'm only 12 hours into the game and still finished around 20 percent. Yeah, I maybe finished 1/3 of story missions, but since there are plenty of other things to spend your time on - it's really easy to carry away with hunting, for example. Animals this time are really dangerous. I remember that when playing Far Cry 3 I mainly used my 2 feet - it felt safer than driving around and meeting enemies with machine guns. This time, however, driving feels safer. The amount of predators out there is quite high - varying from tigers and bears to rhinos (which are awfully tough to kill) and eagles. And, surprisingly, sometimes it really helps you - most of fights between wild animals and enemies mean that you have less enemies to take care of. Once a jaguar killed more than 5 people even - I just threw a chunk of meat and the beast came for a snack which turned into 6 course meal. I mentioned the graphics already, but it's really a step forward. I especially liked showy areas and pines. Another strong point is interesting characters. And last but not least - crafting and "RPG element" in general keep your gameplay even more interesting. I have some stuff upgraded to the max, so now trying to avoid some animals whose skin I don't need any more and following others if I meet them on my way to point B. To sum it up - we're dealing with an incredibly good game here. I heard that there are online issues, but these might be resolved already. Or surely will by the time I'm done with single player.

Great game

A great game and a lot of fun. So much to do and explore with a big map! Great vehicles and guns. Good selection of animals to kill or ride. Must buy for me.

Far cry 4

Bought as a present so not able to review the actual game but it arrived quickly well packaged and was the best price I could find at the time of ordering. I feel games are too expensive but I suppose demand dictates that. I am positive it will be well received at Christmas .

Game is amazing. Plenty of freedom and I have not even tried the Co-op yet. Keys of Kyrat is a great Playstation exclusive feature.
