Feel good very funny film you can watch over & over again & it is still Fantastic each time Actors are superb.

The Love Punch is a very lighweight comedy that gives it's top notch cast ample opportunity to enjoy themselves in two of Europe's best glamour locations: Paris and Antibes. The Blu-ray disc certainly shows the south of France in all it's glory. The plot is far fetched to say the least with Pierce Brosnan's character, Richard Jones, teaming up with his former wife, Kate, played by Emma Thompson to steal a very valuable diamond from a ruthless hedge fund manager who bought out the company Richard worked for and ran it into the ground, stripping all of it's assets including the pension fund that Richard and his staff had invested in and were depending on for their futures. Kate's pension is also tied up in the fund which is why she gets involved despite her ambilivence towards her ex husband. Their pursuit of the diamond leads them from Paris to Antibes where they realise they need help and are joined by their friends Jerry and Penelope played by Timothy Spall and Celia Imre. The chief villain is due to marry his trophy girlfriend at his chateau in Antibes and having decided that the bride is certain to wear the diamond which has been set into a necklace, the foursome plan to crash the wedding, swap the diamond for a fake and make good their escape before anyone notices the switch. It's all a bit silly but the cast are on top form and Emma Thompson and Timothy Spall in particular really sparkle in their roles. There are plenty of laugh out loud moments and as long as you don't require your comedies to have an edge of insightfulness then there are much worse ways to spend a couple of hours than watching this. It's funny and I enjoyed it.
